Guangdong Dongguan started the special action of ash control, focusing on rectifying coal-fired boilers

It is reported that the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau has carried out investigations and demonstrations on the causes and countermeasures of ash, and has deployed a special action to rectify ash, aiming to let the public breathe fresh air. From this month to the end of June, the relevant departments will focus on rectifying more than 150 boilers in the city, promoting the use of clean energy and low-sulfur fuels, and reducing smoke and exhaust emissions.

The reporter learned that in the process of rectifying coal-fired boilers, the municipal environmental protection department will conduct investigation and registration of coal-fired, coal-fired coal slurry, fuel-burning oil and biomass-fired pellet boilers within the city, and comprehensively investigate and collect the basic conditions of boiler use. On this basis, establish a key boiler flue gas remediation account, implement dynamic management of the company's fuel use, smoke emission indicators, boiler settings, and effectively enhance the effectiveness of supervision.

 

From March to December, the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau will continue to carry out remediation of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) emissions to 399 shoe and furniture enterprises in the city.

Enterprises that have non-equal evaluation procedures, unexperienced receipts, excessive emissions, or non-compliance with the protection distance shall be ordered to suspend production, rectify the procedures or rectify within a time limit. Establish regional and related industry VOCs emission total control indicators, and issue emission permits to enterprises according to the total indicators and corporate compliance. It is forbidden to discharge VOCs without obtaining the corresponding emission permit.

In addition, from April 1st, enterprises using low-volatility coatings or glues should report the use amount to the environmental protection department. If the requirements for approval of the EIA are not met, the rectification notice will be issued and the enterprises will be urged to implement the rectification measures.
