Diesel generator set waste heat boiler
Design, manufacturing, and installation of waste-heat boilers for diesel generators
In the early 1990s, Guangdong experienced rapid economic growth, yet its power grid faced severe shortages. Consequently, a large number of internationally renowned, high‑capacity medium‑ and low‑speed diesel generator sets were imported. As these units all run on heavy diesel fuel, they required accompanying waste‑heat boilers to generate steam for preheating the fuel before operation. Located in Guangdong and specializing in boiler manufacturing, our company has supplied a substantial range of waste‑heat boilers for diesel generator sets of various sizes throughout the province, with capacities spanning from 500 kW to 65,000 kW. Our products have served well‑known international brands such as MAN, WARTSILA, SULZER, MSB, MARK, DEUTZ, MITSUI, and others. Additionally, we have provided waste‑heat boilers to leading domestic manufacturers, including Guangzhou Diesel Engine Factory, Zhenjiang Diesel Engine Factory, Shaanxi Diesel Engine Factory, Wuxi Diesel Engine Factory, Dalian Diesel Engine Factory, and many more.
Later, as technology continued to advance, the efficiency of the waste‑heat boilers we designed and manufactured steadily improved. When the steam generated by the exhaust from diesel‑generator sets is fully utilized, a substantial surplus remains beyond the plant’s own steam consumption. We capture this excess steam and route it to a steam turbine to generate additional electricity—commonly referred to as waste‑heat power generation—thereby creating a new driver of economic growth for the power plant. Typically, waste‑heat power generation can boost output by approximately 6% to 7% of the unit’s rated capacity; for example, a 100,000 kW diesel‑generator installation could produce an additional 6,000 to 7,000 kW of electricity through waste‑heat recovery. As a result, this approach has gained strong support from many diesel‑generator plants, increasing both the plant’s overall power output and the enterprises’ bottom line.
To date, our company has supplied nearly 700 waste-heat boilers for diesel generator sets both domestically and internationally, including approximately 120 units dedicated to waste-heat power generation.

(3) Flowchart of the Waste Heat Power Generation System
When the number of generating units is large and their power output is substantial, the steam produced by the waste‑heat boiler not only meets the steam requirements of the units themselves but can also be used to drive a steam turbine for power generation. The schematic flow diagram is shown below:

In regions experiencing severe water shortages, an organic heat transfer fluid (commonly referred to as thermal oil) can be used in place of water as the heat-transfer medium, replacing steam while still enabling the heating of heavy oil and ensuring the normal operation of diesel generator sets.

Design, manufacturing, and installation of waste-heat boilers for diesel generators
Waste Heat Boiler for a Galvanized Steel Pipe Plant
The waste‑heat boiler used in galvanized steel pipe plants utilizes the waste‑heat flue gases generated by the zinc‑melting furnace; after being recovered in the waste‑heat boiler, these gases are discharged. The flue gases pass through the superheater, the boiler body, and the economizer before being released into the atmosphere.
Heat-transfer edible oil heating furnace for food processing plants
The burner heats the heating surfaces inside the furnace, raising the temperature of the edible oil circulating within these surfaces to the required processing temperature, after which the oil is recirculated into the food‑oil pot to heat the food.
A steam boiler is a mechanical device that uses fuel or thermal energy to heat water into steam. It consists of the boiler proper, auxiliary equipment, and safety devices. Steam boilers are widely used in industrial and agricultural production as well as in everyday life.
A hot-water boiler is a thermal‑power device that uses the heat released by fuel combustion to raise ordinary ambient‑temperature water to a specified temperature, providing heat for space heating, domestic hot water, or industrial processes.
An organic heat carrier boiler (thermal oil furnace) is an industrial boiler that uses thermal oil as the heat transfer medium, transferring heat by heating the thermal oil.
The Q5530AE rubber cutting machine was designed by our company through years of providing equipment solutions to polymer manufacturers. It is a specialized machine tailored for the crushing, blending, and extrusion‑pelletizing of solid rubber.
Pressure vessels, chemical equipment
Our company holds design and manufacturing qualifications for medium- and low-pressure vessels, enabling us to design and produce a wide range of pressure vessels, including storage tanks, heat exchangers, agitators, reaction vessels (reactors), equipment for the production of electronic gases, and machinery for viscose fiber production lines, among others.
On-site fabrication of large storage tanks
Large storage tanks refer to vertical cylindrical steel tanks with a design capacity of no less than 1,000 cubic meters, used for storing crude oil, refined petroleum products, chemical feedstocks, and solid materials. Such tanks are fabricated on-site at the installation location.
A spiral plate heat exchanger is a high-efficiency heat transfer device whose heat-transfer elements consist of spiral-shaped plates. It is typically fabricated by rolling two parallel metal plates into a spiral configuration, thereby forming two uniform spiral channels. The two heat-transfer fluids flow through these channels and exchange heat across the spiral plate walls.
